ABOUT OUR FARM FRESH TURKEYS

We source our fresh turkeys locally from Sho Nuf Turkey Farm in Maple Lawn, Maryland. Their turkeys are fresh, never frozen, minimally processed, free-range, and all-natural, with no antibiotics or added hormones. Federal law prohibits the use of hormones in raising poultry.

HOW DO I ORDER MY TURKEY?

All turkeys must be ordered in advance for Thanksgiving 2026.The easiest and fastest way to order is online. All turkey orders must be paid in full before the order is considered confirmed.If you need assistance placing your order, please call us at 301-854-2883 or stop by the store.For orders placed by phone or in the store, we will email you an invoice with a link to pay online. Your turkey is not reserved or confirmed until payment has been received in full.

WHAT IS THE PRICE OF TURKEY?

To make Thanksgiving ordering easier, all of our turkeys will be sold at a flat-rate price for 2026.The weight you order is the minimum net weight of your turkey. Your actual turkey may weigh more, at no additional charge.For example, if you order a 14+ lb turkey, you may receive a turkey weighing 15.5 lbs at pickup. WHAT SIZE TURKEY DO I NEED?

We recommend planning on approximately:1 lb per person — enough to feed everyone with little to no leftovers1.5 lbs per person — enough to feed everyone with leftoversSho Nuf turkeys generally yield approximately 50% cooked meat after cooking and carving.For example, an 18 lb turkey will generally yield about 9 lbs of meat. WHEN AND WHERE DO I PICK UP MY TURKEY?

For Thanksgiving 2026, we will be offering a drive-thru turkey pickup process to make pickup faster and easier for everyone.All turkeys will be picked up at:Boarman's Old Fashioned Meat Market13402 Clarksville PikeHighland, MDWe will provide a map pin showing the entrance to the drive-thru pickup line so you know exactly where to enter when you arrive.Your pickup day is based on the turkey size you ordered:Sunday, November 22, 9:00am–3:00pm10+, 12+, and 14+ lb turkeysMonday, November 23, 9:00am–6:00pm16+ and 18+ lb turkeysTuesday, November 24, 9:00am–6:00pm20+ and 22+ lb turkeysWednesday, November 25, 9:00am–3:00pm24+ and 26+ lb turkeysPlease come on the pickup day assigned to the turkey size you ordered. This schedule allows us to organize orders in advance and keep the drive-thru line moving as quickly as possible.

WHY DID YOU SWITCH TO FLAT RATE PRICING?

We made the switch to flat-rate, prepaid turkey pricing for a few important reasons.First, we don't want any surprises at pickup. The price you pay when you place your order is the final price of your turkey. If your turkey weighs more than the minimum weight you ordered, you will not be charged anything extra. You will know exactly what your turkey costs ahead of time, making it easier to plan and budget for Thanksgiving.Second, the turkey farm is no longer offering retail sales or farm pickup. Because of that change, we are expecting a significant increase in the number of turkeys being picked up at Boarman's this Thanksgiving. Moving to prepaid, flat-rate pricing allows us to organize orders ahead of time and keep our new drive-thru pickup process moving as smoothly and efficiently as possible.Because your turkey is already paid for, there is nothing left to settle when you arrive. Simply pick up your turkey through the drive-thru and you're on your way.And if you would still like to come inside and shop, absolutely! Pick up your turkey through the drive-thru first, put it in your car, then come inside and shop for everything else you need. This keeps the convenience of our traditional turkey pickup process while helping us keep the turkey line moving quickly.Our goal is simple: less waiting, no surprises, and a smoother, more convenient Thanksgiving pickup experience for everyone.
