Marry me chicken

Ingredients — Marry Me Chicken
4 boneless chicken breasts
1½ tsp kosher salt
2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken stock
½ cup Parmesan
7 oz tomatoes, diced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp black pepper
Red pepper flakes, optional
¼ cup fresh basil
How to Make Marry Me Chicken
Season and Sear the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with kosher salt. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Garlic
Add the garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Make the Creamy Sauce
Stir in the heavy cream, chicken stock, Parmesan, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Add black pepper and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir until the ingredients are well combined and the sauce begins to simmer.
Return the Chicken
Place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet. Reduce the heat and simmer until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Garnish and Serve
Top the chicken with fresh basil and additional Parmesan. Serve hot with pasta or mashed potatoes for a delicious and comforting meal.
