Cook the Ground Lamb

For Shepherd's Pie heat a pan over medium heat and fully cook the ground lamb.

Once cooked, remove the lamb from the pan with a slotted spoon and set it aside.

Cook the Vegetables

Add the chopped onion, garlic, and carrots to the same pan.

Cook until the vegetables become soft.

Make the Filling

Return the cooked ground lamb to the pan.

Add the Worcestershire sauce, flour, salt, pepper, and rosemary. Stir everything together and allow the flour to fully cook. Pour in the beef stock and add the frozen peas. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens. Taste the filling and add additional seasoning if needed.

Assemble the Shepherd’s Pie

Transfer the lamb mixture into a casserole dish.

Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top.

Bake

Place the casserole dish in a 350°F oven and bake until the Shepherd’s Pie is fully heated through. Serve warm and enjoy!
